Wedding Photography at The Connaught Hotel, Bournemouth

Back in April this year I had the pleasure of photographing my first wedding of the year at The Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth for Nikki & Rocky. Fortunately the wedding stayed on our side as the Hotel views did not disappoint!

For a British sea side city with our climate, at first it seemed a little strange to see palm trees all around the garden. However, with the vines spread all up the side of the hotel the gardens overall look and aesthetic was just stunning and only complemented everyone's photos more.

For any other photographer r videographer that may end up shooting here though, I recommend bringing as wide angle lenses as you can get, as facing the building straight on is near impossible to fit the whole building from top to bottom, with room for the sky at 24mm, despite moving back as far as possible. However the over all look will make you want to keep taking those artistic shots over and over!

Adding to beautiful garden is this small but sweet garden house/shed, which makes for some lovely staged shots, perhaps even a perfect spot for the signing of the register? Let me know if you get a chance to capture that! I could have delivered far more of these ladies below, however I have decided to save that for the couples main gallery!

The backdrop is naturally bright and warm, with a hint of exotic/summer vibes, however I will highlight that for confetti lines leading out of the building aren't particularly long so it is always best to get the couple to continue walking in that lovely L shape line that is becoming far more familar to me!

It is also safe to say that the rooms also make some good spots for artistic shots during bridal prep too, with just about enough space for a full bridal party photoshoot on the balconies too.
